A Note From Leslie
This month I found myself returning to moody florals finished in palette knife oils, and Garland of Rose feels like the perfect reflection of that journey. This painting holds a special place in my heart — it was selected for permanent public display at Nova Southeastern University's Alvin Sherman Library, later chosen by the university president himself for his private office, and featured as the signature piece on NSU's 1964 Society VIP invitations.
To have this work become part of the Marta Permuy Legacy Collection — and now part of your home — is an honor I carry with great joy.

Framing
An aged gold or dark walnut frame honors the warmth and depth of the palette. Avoid stark white — it competes with the blooms.
Lighting
Hang where warm, indirect light falls across it. A picture light in warm brass will bring the knife strokes to life after dark.
Room Pairings
Stunning in a living room or bedroom over a linen sofa or upholstered headboard. Deep navy or sage walls make it sing.
The Mood
Pair with fresh botanicals, aged books, or candlelight nearby. This piece loves company that is equally unhurried.
